about the owner

Kate is an early childhood educator and former nanny.  Kate grew up in Prescott, Arizona and completed her undergraduate education in Tucson and Chicago.  In addition to her experience teaching kindergarten and pre-kindergarten, Kate worked as a nanny for eight years. She understands how important it is to build a relationship of mutual respect and trust when working with a family. Kate also knows that effective communication is a critical skill needed to support and nurture that relationship.

Kate also has a passion for developing literacy skills in young children and for connecting with like-minded educators and caretakers whose highest goal is family advocacy and support. Kate’s vision of Peas in a Pod is to bring all of her experience and expertise together to to create a network of love and care for families throughout the Phoenix metropolitan area.
